Graft inquiries begin in K-P health sector | The Express Tribune

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) health department has taken action in response to directives from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and initiated inquiries into multiple cases of alleged corruption. According to information released by the Health Secretariat, a committee has been established to probe allegations of improper recruitment and termination of lady health visitors (LHVs) involving the medical superintendent of the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana. Dr Sher Khan, the District Health Officer (DHO), will lead this investigative committee.

In a similar vein, a fact-finding committee has been set up to investigate accusations of corruption concerning the district health officer in Chitral Lower district.
