Watch: Viral Van Girl Makes Green Pasta. Internet Has Mixed Reactions To It

Who doesn’t love a plate of creamy, delicious pasta?  Spaghetti, penne, fusilli, farfalle, rigatoni, and linguine — pasta comes in various shapes and textures. Served with different types of sauces, the Italian delicacy is world-famous for its taste. While we have all enjoyed pasta with marinara sauce, alfredo sauce, bolognese sauce, and vodka sauce, have you ever heard about pasta served in green sauce? If not, Priya, also known as the “Viral Van Girl”, has come up with a new pasta recipe that she dropped on her Instagram handle. After taking a look at Priya’s innovative twist, the foodie community is mostly loving the creation, while some users have mixed opinions.

In the video, Priya begins the process by boiling rotelle pasta. Meanwhile, she uses a blender to create a purée by blending tomatoes, coriander seeds, cumin, red chilli powder, spinach, carrots, and tomato purée. Next, Priya takes a pan, adds some olive oil, and incorporates asafoetida into it. Then, she adds the prepared purée to the pan, along with oregano. The boiled pasta is then introduced into the mixture. To enhance creaminess, Priya sprinkles some almond flour on top. While plating the pasta, she also places cheese slices on the top.

“Delicious GREEN pasta recipe,” reads the caption of the video.

The video has garnered 7.2 million views and 267k likes. Some people also commented on the video, with mixed reactions.

“Hing and coriander in pasta?” questioned a person with a shocking emoticon. Another person warned, “Spinach is not good when raw. Make sure you blanch before use! Saying from a personal experience of side effects of raw spinach.” A person commented, “You lost me when you put that cookig spoon in your mouth.” A comment also read, “It was healthy until you added cheese.”
