Kate Middleton, who’s undergoing preventative chemotherapy, has revealed her and Prince William’s youngest child Prince Louis’ heartfelt words to encourage her mom during a difficult time.
When Queen Elizabeth II died, condolences and tributes for the long-reigning monarch flooded in from across the globe. There was one tribute that particularly struck an emotional chord with mourning royal fans, that of Prince Louis who was aged four at the time.
The Princess of Wales shared the heartbreaking comment that little Louis made about the death of his great-grandmother while she was meeting the people outside Windsor Castle – alongside her husband Prince William and her brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Meghan – after the late Queen’s passing in September 2022.
The two couples chatted with waiting members of the public, when the future Queen revealed Louis’s words to see tears in her eyes over the Queen’s death. Kate said to an emotional well-wisher: “The whole nation’s being very brave, aren’t they?”.
She continued: “Don’t worry I have plenty of moments like this too. My little Louis, he’s just so sweet, he’s like ‘Mummy, don’t worry, she’s now with great-grandpa.’ It just shows you how special she was to everybody, all generations.”
Kate and William’s outing with Harry and Meghan reminded fans of “Fab Four” moment, as it was one of the few times the couples had been seen together since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as working royals in 2020.
