Jeremy Strong to play Bruce Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau in biopic

Jeremy Strong has shared an insight about himself which is connected to Bruce Springsteen biopic.

Strong is all set to play Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau in Deliver Me from Nowhere.

Prior to this, the 46-year-old played Donald Trump’s mentor, lawyer Roy Cohn in The Apprentice.

While addressing his experience of working on the biopic of Bruce, Jeremy also mentioned his role as ‘Roy’.

For him, working on the American singer’s biography was an unforgettable experience. Meanwhile, he also confessed that it somehow brought him out of the darkness.

“(It was) utterly life-affirming. It’s a mentor story, like The Apprentice. But if Roy is (folklore demon) Mephistopheles, Jon is a force of light.”

The Gentlemen actor told Variety, “Spending time with Bruce and Jon and communing with Bruce’s music, which is a gospel of hope and faith and love.”

“As opposed to a gospel of hatred and mendacity and nihilism, which is what Roy was, it was a tonic. It lifted me out of the darkness”, concluded Strong.

Written and directed by Scott Cooper, Deliver Me from Nowhere features Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen.

The film will also star Odessa Young, Johnny Cannizzaro, Stephan Graham and others.
